10 ways to increase your energy (Part 1)
Updated: May 20
Time management has always been my favourite topics because I am always interested to know how to maximise my time! In the past I would purchase bulk of schedule books, notebooks and journals because I thought they will help me manage my time, turn out that I am using the wrong method!
I received great revelations after listening to Mr John C. Maxwell’s Leadership podcast and following are what I have learnt.
This is the fact whether we accept it or not. Our days are numbered. We cannot expand our time but today we can expand our capabilities and in order for us to do so, we need to focus on our energy instead! One, who is living their full potential, don’t sit back and wait for things to happen! They take action, go out and make things happen and all these require energy!
Here are the first 5 ways to increase our energy!
1. Learn New Things Everyday
When was the last time you’ve learnt something new? Instead of flowing through life and allowing the problems to teach us new things, let us be intentional in our growth today. Learning becomes intentional when you take initiative to pick up a book, tune into a podcast, watch a Ted Talk video etc. When we learn new things, our vision expands and that helps us to propel our life forward.
2. Live in Gift Zones
Is there a time when you did a task and you knew you were called to do it? Instead of feeling drained out and stressed, you feel empowered and driven when doing that specific task? This is the hint that you’re probably living in your gift zones.
3. Limit your screen time
Spending your time watching how people live their lives? Instead of scrolling through social media and watch how people spend their lives, why not tune into topics that can sharpen your skills and improve yourself?
Tony Gaskins — 'If you don't build your dream someone else will hire you to help build theirs.'
4. Structure your day
Scheduling every single appointment and task that you need to do for the day so that you will be giving priority to what is most important. Out of sight, out of mind. Don’t expect your brain to remember every single task that you need to do so start scheduling your task into your day right now!
5. Inject your day with optimism
Negativity is all around, from news to social media platforms. Tune in to a motivational podcast to gear up your state and prepare you for an empowering day.
“People often say motivation doesn't last. Neither does bathing—that's why we recommend it daily.” - Zig Ziglar
Thank you for being here, now let us get our energy levels up as you achieve your dreams!
